Whoa, what happened to the last couple of months?

For all of you who read this blog, allow me to apologize once again for the utter lack of new posts recently. This summer I am working on completing my Major Field of specialization, which has been very demanding on my time. Last week I submitted a draft of my Major Field paper to my committee for review, and am now preparing for my exams which are only three weeks away. Here's hoping I can get prepared in time!

Tony has been busy as well, not only taking care of all household duties while I frantically research/write/study, but also steadily painting in preparation for a Fall show at the Front gallery in Edmonton.

Dolly has been feeling much better over the last couple of days, despite a trip to the pet ER last week. Nothing like rounds and rounds of antibiotics to cure all of her ails! It was such a relief to see her acting more like herself after the one really bad day, and our fingers are crossed that she is going to be fine for a while now.

This summer she has been venturing out onto the balcony, and seems to like the little potted plant we put out there earlier in the season (as pictured below).

But even though she continues to become an ever more intrepid beagle, she still likes to have her bed under the coffee table - it seems to be a 'security blanket' of sorts.

Well, back to the studying I go - there is a large stack of books waiting for me across the room! I will really, really make more of an effort to post at least once in a while, even if just to say "Hello!".
